About Us

“Freedom is not in the physical world around us but in our own minds.”

About Us

Circle of Life Spiritual Center has been operating in Kentucky for over 20 years.

Bo Tipton founded it and what began as a small group 20 + years ago now has four groups in Kentucky and 1 in Pennsylvania.

It started as a Sole Proprietorship and recently changed its structure to a non-profit to better ensure that the successful work continues through the years. Circle of Life uses culture, music, art, history, and our ancestor’s teachings to help people have a better life. We also help people get back in touch with nature. We are currently funded by private donations and do not charge for any of our services. All our workers and peer counselors are volunteers. The peer counselors have gone through 144 hours of training over 18 months to be better able to help people.

Examples of the Art and Music classes we hold are regular workshops on such subjects as

Making a Hand Drum

Making moccasins

Making Leather bags

Art Classes

Drumming Circles

We also have groups that meet once a month for a year to take lessons from the Appalachian and Native American cultures that can be used to improve our lives. We hold several ceremonies yearly at our Livingston Campus to celebrate Solstices and Equinoxes and the change of seasons. They are mainly to celebrate life. We currently own 95+ acres in Livingston, KY, called North Gate. It is a place for people to come and camp to escape their daily lives in a quiet, peaceful setting in the middle of the woods. All these activities foster a strong sense of community and build friendships that last for a lifetime.

We all need to belong somewhere; many have lost that sense of belonging, and we work to restore that.

The five main groups of people we work with is

Women who have been through domestic violence

LBQT+ Community

Veterans

People in Recovery

Seekers who are people who looking to change their life and want a place to feel like they belong.
